| Looking to build a garage next year, the place in the yard I'd like to put it needs to be raised up to prevent water from running into the door. I have some fill dirt at another farm that I could use to dump here this summer, and let it settle over the winter and build next spring/summer. Or would I be better off to use gravel next summer and pour concrete over it then? So what would you do?
1) pile dirt and level now maybe raise up 3-4 feet at the deepest point, with dirt, and then next summer build with frost wall, and slab on top
2) leave site as-is this year, and put in footings next year, and fill with gravel, then concrete for garage floor?
thinking a 30x40 ft garage/outbuilding if that matters.
