Michigan | How I understand is many softeners are on a timer and regen at a certain time, like at night when you aren't using water. The Kinetico has two tanks so one can regen while you use the other, and it regens based on water usage, not time. Hence, saving salt by not doing a regeneration cycle before it is necessary.
I'm no expert, and have never dealt with any other system. Maybe someone can correct me if I am wrong. | |
