Chatham Ontario. | I've run a Reichardt system on an Oxbo harvester for about 5 years now. First couple years it worked flawlessly. Uses a pair of rubber whiskers on center snout. It could even follow a row only on one side. Paid around $7000 or 8000 US for the system I think. But now it is almost completely useless. Some days it works for a few hours but mostly just minutes then kicks out. Spent $4000 trying every thing under the sun with a good service tech and thought it was fixed. Even tried changing programming a bit to override the system, but it still acts the same. Reichardt was no help and said the fault was in our machine. Now it's just a very pricey piece of garbage cluttering up my dash. We work with another machine in same fields and it also is having about as good of luck. I would have to give a double thumbs down on using a Reichardt. Hope others are having better luck with theirs. | |
