Subject: RE: Hydrostat / engine rpm

Tuscola, IL
I would say, with no real data behind this, that it’s harder on the hydro running lower RPMs than it is on the engine running full throttle.

As another poster mentioned, I’m surprised the engine rpm isn’t changing with hydro position. Is there a different mode you can run them in to allow rpm and hydro to be separate. Been a long time since I was in a Hagie, and I may be completely making this up, but I was thinking there were two different modes. One where engine rpm would self adjust and one where engine rpm was separate.
