It would be hard to pick.  Looking back to a previous generation would seem like it was better, but ask again in 30 years it may be the current one.  Back in the day they modernized with electric, plumbing, autos, tractors etc.  But then you go a little newer you got tractors that could pull more with a/c, cars that had a/c and were more reliable.  Then you get into closer to now.  You have the world and answers to many problems at your fingertips.  You want to know the weather, you can look it up.  You want to know how to fix something?  Youtube, or Agtalk.  Can't remember a history fact that popped in your head, you don't have to grab an encyclopedia, just type it in to Google and have it in seconds.  You need something the store doesn't have in stock, Amazon may have it to your door in 2 days and you don't even have to get dressed.  Television, you can get 500 channels or more now.  Back when I was little you had 2,4,5,9, 11 and 30.  You go out to drive a modern tractor, you can push a few buttons and all you have to do is turn it around on the end, some you don't even have to do that either now.   I would say it's been pretty linear on the changes through the generations.  May have a decade in there that seen a lot of changes all at once, then maybe one where not much changed at all.  One big thing, think electricity, or internet, brings in a domino effect of rapid changes to follow.
