Combining with 9 yr. old grandson he always has lots of questions , many i cannot answer as before my time as he is really interested in history and the home farm that has been in our family since 1881

I would think my parents born '24 &'29 ---were children during depression and living on farms they always had food,housing,ect.....but then when they married in '49 and got electricity it must have been something , then around '58 running water and flush toilet/bathtub....heating was oil stove & wood stove...then late '60's forced air furnace to central air like city folk

Changes with farming was big ,horses to 10-20 McCormick -Deering to machines of 2000 era....

The internal combustion engine no contest. Used to have to farm twice as many acres just to feed the horses.
