Subject: John Deere 8520 exhaust manifold leaking

South Texas
I have a John Deere 8520 exhaust manifold leaking I replaced the gasket one already but it blew out again. I was able to separate the two pieces and found that the back Half could not be machined so I had to buy a new one. The question I have is do I have to pull the head off to have it machined or is there a way I can get it trued up enough with the head on the tractor
