Subject: RE: Stahly/Sterling floater steering

SE Nebraska, Near Misery and Cans Ass!

7060 - 7/12/2020 09:36 I bought a 2006 Stahly floater with a sterling chassis last fall. If you drive the truck over 25 on the road you can’t keep it under control. It’s like it’s fighting itself. I can’t imagine that’s just the way it is. I bought this because I do a lot of road miles and expected to go 35 or 40, but 25 isn’t safe the way it is. How fast can these trucks usually go? The alignment doesn’t appear to be off, but it acts like it’s towed out the way it drives. It has a steering gearbox on each side. Anybody have any ideas? How difficult would it be to add auto steer as well, it has a viper pro display in it.

Should go 60 comfortably, Never saw one without a tie rod. Stahly has always been good with questions.
