Regarding the oil cleanliness, the particulants that you can see aren’t what is wearing you components out, they may cause a valve to stick open but are too large to fit in the clearances of pumps, motors etc. Most OEM filtration targets particulants 2-25 microns in size, 40 microns is about as small as the human eye can see.
