Central Illinois - west of Peoria | I believe 826 gear drive was cheaper ,lower horse power tractor based on 756 frame rather than 856 frame ? Maybe to compete with Deere 4000 ? Also know they made a 856 custom which was a stripped down model with no tilt wheel, no hyd seat and 34” rubber.
Years ago I looked at a all original 826 with YAR cab and faded golden demostrator paint that had a German diesel with a knock to it on a jockeys lot . Wished I’d bought it .
We had a 756 with German diesel for a while and was a good tractor .
