coast of Maine
Still cheap land available, especially in the un organized territories or poor counties.Ocean front is very costly but not if you are from the rich states. We are poor here, coast is its own economy though.Visiting I would just wander,we dont allow bill boards but we have an exemption for small signs for farmers. There are towns that have shrunk in population where housing is cheapest...Madison,Millinocket,Calais,(Kal liss,,hehe),I think if you came up to say Bath(where they make huge military boats, you see them from the main rd ) and started turning to random peninsulas you would be suprised.Way different geology, economy ,forests ,farms in Maine as you go county to county. Here 100 ft pines,In the north all spruce/fir.Here no farms ,,Aroostook county all farms(bigger than several states in size).Moose ,,,,you can find many inland 100 miles or so,here deer are wayway too many, large also compared to southern whitetail.oh and winter lasts solid 6 months,,arghhh
