Subject: JD 4720 sprayer A/C, or 7X20/30 tractors A/C question

Moreauville LA
4720 sprayer, cab is kept clean, filters clean, front side of evaporator by recirc filter is clean.

Ground is soft and it is really hot outside.

I have times when the air just is not cold then gets right. It also drips a very long time after stopping machine. Looking at it, it is not quite setup like on an older 8000 tractor. Am I wrong in assuming the back side of the evaporator needs cleaning, but the airflow is in that direction, from the recirculation filter.

Is it accessible from the trim above it, under the window. My question being, do these evaporators get dirty on the back side? Meanwhile, with the fan running wide open, and recirc filter out, I just don't find there is a lot of change in airflow.

I have not run it with th recirc filter removed to see if it makes a difference. Could be icing up???

In checking pressures, ambient air hot, engine 1500 rpm, cab cool, door open, fans wide open, low side is high, 65-70 and high side is 220 or so.
