I don't know the spec, but it shouldn't go to zero.

So logically, either the charge pump is not putting out enough volume, or the oil is leaking too much somewhere. From what I hear, those charge pumps are a simple gear pump that rarely wears out (for what it's worth). We'll ignore the possibility that the transmission won't hold oil pressure because we're in a happy place.

As far as I know, the charge pressure goes first to the transmission control, then to a relief valve and to the hydraulics, and then to another relief valve and to the transmission lube circuit, and then another relief valve and to the oil cooler. Don't quote me on that, but the idea is there's lots of places that the oil goes, that's what you're checking with pinching the line. Is there any other line or valve block connected that that could be where the oil is going? If you can find the spec, then the charge pressure, transmission control pressure, and other relief/control valve settings would be the next things to check.
