Yes. BUT.... We're just a pass through point for subsidy dollars. We'd all be better off without subsidies. They go to... inflated seed prices, inflated chemical and fertilizer costs, inflated cash rent, some people would argue machinery but for most thats optional... Not to mention increased production and lack of diversity because the subsidies focus on a few crops. Leading to lower prices.
Subsidies are bad for the US farmers and great for the large corporations and american consumer.
Subsidy dollars buy a lot of COOP salesmen brand new pickups.
