Black line 1 only had two strands of copper left. Smaller white wire was completely burned in two, not sure what it does. I suppose they were shorting to the external green ground.

Guessing it was an installation error and some of the wire insulation was damaged? On a related note, when I pulled the wiring down and out, water ran out of it for a while. Hiw normal is that? This is a double external insulated wire with aluminum foil shield.

There was water in the span cable? That’s not normal at all, there shouldn’t even be room in there for water, and the cut ends of the insulation shouldn’t ever get wet.

Did your pivot get peppered with a shotgun or something?
