NW Washington | I have taken statins for well over 20 years and I think a high dose of lipitor did cause some leg pain, but the doc lowered the dose and all was good. I am now on a genetic Zocor.
I think every cardiologist in the country has their heart patients taking statins. There has been talk of statins helping to prevent or delay Alzheimer's too. I had heart surgery years ago for a bad valve and the docs said my arteries were clear then.
Eating a ration of whole grain oats or barley each day will help your cholesterol numbers a little bit, and keep you regular. I am not sure that Cheerios will help. | |
