Ross County, Ohio | Some vehicles you just never forget anything about them. I've owned a few that stood out, but my favorite was a 2000 Chevrolet 1500 4x4. I bought it new in December 1999, and finally got rid of it in November 2017. I put 260,000 miles on it, and it only let me down once. The fuel pump went out while I was running an errand for the farm in the spring of 17. I pulled things with that truck, that you could debate a One ton shouldn't have hooked to. That was hands down the best vehicle I was ever around. Now, I still get sick when I think about it. I should have let my brother in-law take it to auto body and mechanics school in 2016. His instructor told me for 5-6k I'd have a new truck. My daughter wrote an essay about her memories of it for school last year, and how she missed it. ( was the only truck I owned for the first 12 years of her life) She has her DL now, and told me she wished I'd have fixed it so she could drive it. I told her, "To hell with that! If I had it today, you could have my 2015 Sierra." It's a super nice truck, but it ain't my green machine. Not by a long shot! I almost hate it.
