I need a 30 amp single pole breaker for a 110v circut. The hardware store only has double pole (220v) 30 amp breakers in the type I need (ch). I can order the single pole but in the meantime I was wondering if I could just put a double pole 30a breaker in, and only use one side of it. Would that work or would it trip at half the rated amps?

Work fine. Double pole breaker is just two single pole breakers packaged together
