SE MN | Tear bed apart and put mattress and box spring in bags, wash and dry all linens. If frame can be totally cleaned, you can get sprays and clean it. If not, it would be best to buy a simple metal frame to use for a while. Put feet of bed in containers either that are plastic the bugs can't climb or with tape sticky side out so they can't climb up legs. Make sure bed isn't touching any walls. Make sure blankets and pillows don't touch floor. If something touches the floor, wash and dry it. This should stop any biting while you figure other stuff out. In theory, you could starve them out by doing this, but you don't want them hanging around that long. They are tremendous survivors, can last 18 months with no food and then come back to life. | |
