I am not long any corn futures. I am long Nov soys at 8.52 and short Sep wheat. I can’t get a feel for this corn market and the USDA. After last years huge PP, then the USDA raises the yield and the acres last August....wth? Then we have a good spring and they drop corn acres 5 million acres, the largest drop since 1980? I can’t figure them out.
Soybean carryout could get tight if this heat stays around through August.
