Subject: Best Ripper V style or straight bar

SE SD
Looking at 3 pt rippers to bust up compaction on end rows and hard spots in the field. My compaction layers vary from about 3"-12"+ deep. I don't really want to make a rough, lumpy mess on top. My 8520 fully weighted with ILS and Front Duals is what I would be pulling it with.

1.) Is it better to go with a straight style 2500 CIH or 2100 Deere or V-style CIH or 915 Deere?
2.) What's the difference between a parabolic shank and a straight shank?
3.) What type of points are the best?
4.) How big of one will the 8520 pull?

CIH, Deere, Kuhn-Krause, Unverferth, & Brillion are my best choices due to dealer service & parts. Thanks!
