By the numbers, all i can see is that the JD oil is a little thicker viscosity than the IH stuff. But with that said I would be cautious as I see Deere is trying to make all of their stuff incompatible with other vendors. It is pretty obvious when they use electric motor grease that is incompatible with aluminum complex grease, just to sell more of their stuff. I tend to shy away from anybody who has to strong arm the customer back to make more purchases. Just seems low.
