we have actually had above average rainfall the past several weeks including a 2" rain but 90+ degree temps have dried out things out quickly and we have been able to do timely field operations.

Its hard to believe but our nearest neighbors (about a mile away in 2 different directions) have received 25-50% more rain than us 4 rains in a row!

Yesterday about 2 hrs after we finished cultivating a pop up storm blew through and we received 0.35"

this evening we received an inch more (based on radar and text from a neighbor).

wet soils definitely create serious challenges for cultivation but good soil structure makes a difference.

Our first use of the prototype cultivator was 3 days after a 2" rain (> 3" on neighboring farms).

Our soils are mostly poorly drained Sable silty clay loams.
