sw mb. | I have the good fortune to own a 2009 F150. I also own a 2003 6.0 Powerstroke. Call me Mister Lucky. I expect to be notified by Ford any day now that they intend to buy back my and many thousands of similar trucks. Until such time however, I am compelled to make the best of my predicament. Funny thing is, I actually like said vehicles. The 2009 F150 is experiencing a heavy electrical drain. As in a freshly charged battery will go flat in less than an hour. In the past, similar posts have pointed to either the battery or alternator as being the most likely culprits. I have a multimeter but my proficiency with it resembles that of the proverbial bear cub attempting to self gratify while wearing boxing gloves. Any simple suggestions? If I disconnect the ground from the battery it will keep its charge for more than a week and it tests as good with battery tester. TIA | |
