Are you saying the new intermeshing JD style you think are the best? Talked to a neighbor who put Calmers on his head last year and was really happy also. The day with the intermittent mist and rain that we really struggled With he said they had no problems. Where I have trouble is if a leaf or small piece of corn stalk breaks off and wraps around the ā€œVā€ where the stripper plates end and it transitions to the auger. If it is dry they feed through or go through the machine but if conditions are right they like to bend around that V area and start catching leaves and other trash feeding into the auger.
