SW Sask | My brother bought one for his work. He travels a lot through Sask, Alberta and Manitoba. Has 15,000 km on it in about 3 months. Small crew cab, 4wd. 20" tires (and 75 profile, not rubber bands on the rim).
They claim 300 hp. Now, a 2004 Ford 5.4 liter (also rated 300 hp) may not be the best comparison (grin), but I'd say they are at least equal, or maybe the Ram has a bit more zip. I would guess that you'd a difference with a trailer, but then that Ford liked to go from overdrive to second gear every time it crossed a shadow on the highway, too. (to be clear, I had no issues with my 5.4. It treated me fine, but there are more powerful truck engines...)
Anyway, bro's favorite part - as long as he sets the cruise at 105 kph instead of 115 kph…. (most two lanes here have a limit of 100. Twinned highway limit is 110.) He is getting between 9 and 10 liters per 100 km.
And, a born-and-bred Canadian, I have no idea what that means, either, so:
That is 23 to 26 miles per US gallon. 28 to 30 miles per imperial gallon.
So far, he is really happy with it.
