Subject: RE: Belgium car vs combine head on

Kingston,Mi
Youngest brother was directing US Army traffic to parking positions in Germany, he was standing along the tracks of a Armored personal carrier when a buddy grabbed him and pulled out of the path of a car that struck the APC. Conclusion was that the driver never applied the brakes. Car was so badly damaged (Hugh said it was compacted as if it had been in a car compactor) that they could not id it until the police ran the VIN on it. He said it was essentially a pressure washer recovery of the human remains.

In the 1960's there was a successful suicide by car when a young woman suddenly lined up on a mid 50's GMC snub nosed semi tractor hauling a set of double cement powder trailers. Her 1958 Chevy was parked in front of a junkyard for several weeks. The car ended up being quite short and nearly twice as long as original once it was retrieved from under the semi and its trailers.
