Southeast SD | I don't know if you have a brake controller or not but I had the same exact problem on my 08 Dodge. I would get out and walk away from it and the brake lights would be on. Not always, just sometimes. I would pull the pedal back push down pull back side to side etc. trying to get the brake switch to disconnect contact. I finally found that my brake controller manual lever must have gotten bumped or something and it was just at the point of sometimes making electrical contact and sometimes not. I slid it back and forth 3 or 4 times and haven't had the problem since. Not sure that's your problem but it took me a while to find on mind.
