Subject: RE: Mud Dauber control

East Central Arkansas

They have a hanging sticky trap for them. They might have actually been for wasp. I bought one and put in our shop. I don't know how much good it has done but it's got quiet a few mud daubers stuck to it. I though maybe it had a pheromone on it but did some research and it's just the color and design that attracts them. We have always had some but since the 2011 flood they have really been bad. The first few years of boll weevil eradication they killed all the wasp. Malathion was what they were spraying. If you spray a building with it though the odor will linger and I don't think it did that much good when I tried using it.
