Now I remember why I let my Successful farming subscription expire. I love how they make the claim that its a record year for dicamba injury in Iowa but fail to give any actual number to back it. Hartzler from ISU was very railing against before the Extend was even approved so you can bet your bottom dollar he's going to make up what ever makes him look good.

A road side drive through my neighborhood in central Iowa would indicate less damage than other years. However mostly Extends are planted around me so much less chance for problems to start with. The only field of enlist beans that I know of did that did get dinged so far was from a very careless application in corn where the wind blew it straight over the fence and not from spraying Extend beans.

There has been more damage every year since xtend beans were introduced. Stands to reason since market share also went up every year. Enlist beans may not be here for long either if dicamba goes away. Seed companies with xtend only, have to be scrambling for other seed next year. MS tech has to be getting phone calls up the wazoo. Wonder what Asgrow's plans are, sell xtend with discount, pay full price, or kiss up to Enlist technology???? I've never ever planned to plant xtend when first introduced and sure as heck now would never touch them. It was blackmail the way they scared neighbors to plant defensively. Not the way to treat farmers.
