Subject: RE: Algae in water tank...any remedies?

Near Intersection of I-35 & I-90 Southern Mn.
I have a couple of white tanks for my water supply BUT they are located inside an old shed out of the sunlight. I do not have an algae problem by being out of the sun. I have two vertical tanks interconnected and use a Hudson shut off in the top of one. This allows me to have a good supply of water on hand at ambient temperature. I use an electric transfer pump and inductor at the shed. I mix and fill the planter or sprayer directly or use a trailer to transfer the "hot" loads to the field.

This works very well for us since our land is all located reasonably close to my dooryard. This may not be workable in your situation.
