Subject: RE: Corn

North Central Illinois
The forecast today has gone back to what it was earlier in the week. Very hot next week with limited chances for rain. The one fly in the ointment is just how far the dome pushes northward next week. This will impact not only temperature but precipitation as well. There is some thought that the dome would stall out just south of the corn belt keeping the 100 degree heat south and west of some of the big corn growing areas. It would also have the potential to set up a “Ring of Fire” pattern over portions of the corn belt which would be favorable for thunderstorms. Right now forecasters seem reluctant to buy into that scenario too heavily but have mentioned it a couple of times. As usual there is much uncertainty in the forecast which is about all markets have to trade right now.
