NCSD | '96 model 854. I think my accumulator is going bad. The Park brake pressure gauge will fall and surge very rapidly....probably every 5-10 seconds. When the sprayer has been sitting and the park brake gauge is at 0, it will take 30+ seconds to get up over 500psi. I've read where it needs to come up to 500psi. within 5 seconds.
Anyway, tried charging the accumulator several times. It works as it should but it only lasts about 1-2 months and goes back to same symptoms.
So can I get any old aftermarket accumulator of the same size and put it on? What is so special about this accumulator that costs $800 at dealer? Any reason why I can't use one from say JD combine and put it on there?
