I have had the same problem before on spx 4260, one time it was flow meter and the last time it was the radar speed was jumping all over the place
I watched the speed on the Raven monitor and it stayed very accurate all the time. Now the flowmeter, the gals/min was jumping all over the place when this was happening. When normal,27 gal/min, but acting up it jumped around 5 to 35 gal/min. I don't know if that's a bad flowmeter or foam or air pockets in the line? I'll look into that.
I was wondering about the foaming issue, don't use defoamer, never have. I did notice boom sections were slow at shutting off which is an indication of air in the wet boom pipes?
I'll check these out and see what I find.
