Main purpose of a mask is to stop YOU from infecting others when you might be sick and expel the virus in your cough or breath
Others wear a mask to protect you from THEIR virus expulsion.

So others masks will protect your eyes too.

Always possible to get a droplet in your eyes i guess but think the big risk is you touching your own eyes after getting some virus on your hands.
That is why they recommend washing and disinfecting your hands, to stop you transferring the virus from your hands to your eyes or mouth or nose.
You will not likely get infected through your hands only from transferring contamination to your face with your hands

There has been some thoughts that a face shield would work as well as a mask and offer protection for eyes too BUT only if you do to touch your face with your hands.
Not sure that has ever been proven to work and would need to be a full long shield to stop exhaled virus from travelling far.
