SW “Ohia”
jtpfarm,

When I bought my house it had a full Youngstown steel kitchen. Steel cabinets, double wall oven, stove top with built in griddle, chrome accents, etc. It was a complete setup installed in 1950. My Grandmother said it would have been an absolute top of the line outfit for the time.

It was installed well, and I didn’t want them. (Cabinets were rusty and dented from years of use.) I put them on Craigslist for a make-offer. A man from Memphis, Tennessee gave me $600 for the setup and removed it. Took four people an entire day to yank everything. They were going to repaint the cabinets and install them in their canning kitchen.
