Near-north Ontario, French River | Choose your property wisely... think about things such as potential flooding , ice damage ,shoreline erosion potential , even lif building on slopes, etc. I see a lot of water front homes around here, that are at or near lake levels( even if set back from the shore 100's of feet).... guess what happens when there's a strong wind etc... they end up surrounded by water. Try to get your build site at least 20 ft above the water line, The right waterfront property will be an excellent investment.
