I never thought we'd see the day where there are announcements on the radio telling folks to make themselves a reminder that they have a baby in the backseat of their car. It's very sad that some of us are so self-absorbed that we would accidentally forget our child and they would end up dead from heat in the car. That being said, I guess I can sure pray for those people if nothing else.

Well it’s good to know there’s at least one perfect person in the world. The rest of us can be forgetful, get distracted, have routines interrupted, etc. and a mistake can happen.

Congrats on your mistake free existence. Good on you to seize the opportunity to berate others for being imperfect.

Please forgive me for not finding anything more important to keep track of in my life. Sorry that you took my post the way you did. Can believe that someone wants to argue about this.

If you’re looking for things to do, instead of keeping track of the ads, take a moment to think about why they might be more important this year than ever.

Maybe someone who doesn’t normally have their toddler along with them but does some days this summer due to sudden unexpected employment and childcare schedule changes will hear the ad and devise a personal routine to help themselves remember.

Maybe somewhere out there is a young parent that will hear the ad and not consider leaving their spitty-faced teething baby in the car for that one quick errand. Maybe last time they were at that establishment, someone just couldn’t keep their negative comment to themselves (sound familiar?) about spit spreading the virus, and they don’t want to subject themselves to that again.

Maybe the ads aren’t for you.
