Were around 9-10" since May here. Just no end in sight. Every 30% chance we get 1/2". Wouldnt be so bad but everything is still so water logged from the last 3 yrs it has run out of places to go. Spraying has been a nightmare. Hill tops and well drained fields are like muskeg. Was spraying barley and hit a soft spot and the back end of the sprayer dropped to the frame. Didn't even have a chance to dig ruts and bury it deeper :P
We need the rest of the season warm and windy otherwise fall will not be a good time. Seen a flyer for 4wd axles for combines come the other day in the mail. It has to be pretty bad when dealers start pushing 4wd axles in an area where 99% of the combines have been 2wd since threshing machines. |
