If it wouldn’t have put me in danger of being hit I might’ve parked on the narrow highway shoulder long enough to video the fast rising water. Other people were stopping to take pics. Never seen such fast water current where there normally isn’t any water at all. Looked like several acres of cotton plants got washed away. DOT might’ve had to shut the highway down. On the way back there were three mobile sign trucks headed that way. There had already been two of those type trucks warning of the fast rising water. They might’ve left to go help out at other flood prone locations.

And then a creek overflowed another road where we had to drive through over two feet of water. It was rising fast. Probably shut the road down soon after. What’s scary is if fast rising water like that coming down a creek gets dammed up by all the rotten wood and trees and debris. You don’t want to be traveling across those small bridges or low crossing areas when it lets loose.
