Subject: RE: Anyone put dry fert. down with drill?

NC South Dakota
I have Dawn CFX and they do require some maintenance, but they will actually place it 4" down where the corn can get it when its dry.
The Deere openers could only dream getting down 2"+ some years.
I hear the Yetter 4000's (Aulori) openers are the way to go now days.
I have some extra Dawn openers so I just swap them out when I have trouble.
Picture is fertilizing for a 3 year rotation, Corn, Beans, Beans. In a "honey hole" so I pour the fertilizer out there in the top zones.
Usually get 200+ corn and 60+ bushel beans in those spots..... Not the whole field....
