Central KS | Not really your question, but kind of related. Years ago, my regular butcher couldn't get me in and I had a steer to butcher. I called the butcher in the next town over and he had a spot the next week. Great. When I went to pick up the meat, I didn't see any packages marked tenderloin. So I asked him about it. He said they were pretty small so he didn't think I'd want to mess with them and he threw them in with the burger. OOOkaaay…
Other than that, he did a good job and even got me a better yield than my regular butcher. Maybe he was telling the truth and was just that ignorant. Maybe he felt bad about stealing my tenderloins and threw in a few extra pounds of burger. | |
