Subject: Sorghum Sudan in Haymeadow / H5Cattle

Athens, TX
I am interested in this. So, you drilled it into fresh cut Bermudagrass? Is it competing well? What is the goal, more tonage for hay?

I stockpile Bermudagrass in the fall for winter grazing, was wondering if you could do this and strip graze in the winter.

I have also wondered about cutting fall overseeded Ryegrass for hay in a bermudagrass haymeadow in May, then drilling Cowpeas into it, and cut for balage in 6 weeks. The Cowpeas would raise the protein to high teens if it would grow / keep up with bermudagrass.

Anybody tried either of these?
Chris
