Amazon provides a service that people are willingly to use again without government subsidy unless you consider the way they are using the postal service as a subsidy. What does Tesla make that people are willing to buy/use using their own funds without some government subsidy? As soon as the tax credits ran out their sales dropped off. The car industry routinely pans the fit and finish and CR reports show it has the worse reliability of any manufacture.
