W, thanks replying to the question that I asked. Maybe I need to be looking at a 24x8. A buddy had one back when they had cattle, and I think they liked it pretty well. Is the extra width ever a hinderance when pulling or backing it? Also, do the fenders sticking inside ever cause problems for the cattle? Thank you for your input!

If you have issues pulling the 8' wide - - - - dunno what you're doing.
Backing the thing up - - - - most pick-up mirrors don't work well if the trailer is 8' wide. Need either extensions or secondary mirrors and most guys aren't sued to something that wide blocking sight lines. Can't be learnt to do for sure!
Fenders inside are more of an issue with young cattle or if you jam things real full. Usually not an issue but I'd hate to say never an issue.
