Same here. The only thing that I would worry about is if they haven't been cultivated yet. If I cultivate really tight at first or second trifolate, I prune off a few lateral roots. Second time through a week or 10 days later I move the sweeps farther away and last time when they are blooming I run 5" away from the row on each side. Each time I'm not doing much root pruning. If they aren't cultivated at all until they're blooming you will prune off quite a bit of root mass. Still worth it if the weeds are bad.
