CNY | Off topic but much "American cheese" actually says "cheese food" on the label because it contains less than 51% cheese, plenty of salt to get you to eat more, it can't be labeled as cheese. Most folks don't know it and probably could care less.
Personally I like X sharp cheddar on burgers. For grilled cheese sandwich, a layer of that on real bread(not white sliced), then sauteed onion, then a layer of gouda or provalone for the gooey factor. fried crisp in oil. With a side of sliced tomato and ranch dressing. Damn! If it wasn't breakfast time I'd go make it now. | |
