I think it is definitely because those being infected now are predominantly younger folks who are much more able to withstand the virus. They can still get damn sick but they don't die nearly as often as older folks.


I have seen chest x-rays of people who have had COVID 19. I do not want the permanent lung damage that is evident in those x-rays.

Young people may be more likely to survive....but why would you want to take a chance? I do not want to end up in a hospital, in an induced coma, laying on my stomach, hooked up to a ventilator, with a bag glued to my butt.

The rule of thumb is that for every day a person spends on an ventilator will require 7 days of rehab. Not for me if I can help it.
