I would look for spotted cucumber beetles and squash borers near base of pumpkin vines, that could be the cause of flopping other than hot and dry, a light dusting of sevin will get rid of cucumber beetles ( looks like lady bug but green with black dots, can say how to eliminate squash beetles other than catching by hands
Need curbit and tomatoe help
