Starter roller bearing was out. Stopped bale was resting on the starter roll. A dense packed unmoving bale will burn very slow. Modern tight belt designs won't let much oxygen in when it's moving. Park it, the rolling motion is gone and new material isn't smothering the flames.
Anyone leave partial bales in their round baler?
